NMT Selvedge Denim - White

NMT Selvedge Denim - White:

Mill and Id: Nihon Mepo Textiles - 8080-WH-PS

Origin: Japan. Like much of the world's most coveted denim, this fabric is woven on vintage shuttle looms in Japan, giving it a tighter, more textured weave.

 • Fabric Type: Bull Denim. Unlike traditional indigo denim (which has a dyed warp and an undyed weft), bull denim is woven exactly the same way (a 3x1 twill construction) but uses undyed yarns.

 • Color: White ("WH"). Because it is a bull denim, the fabric is a solid, uniform white rather than the traditional blue.

Selvedge ID: Red Selvedge. The self-finished edge of the fabric features a classic red ticker line to prevent fraying and indicate its shuttle-loom origin.

 • Weight: 12.5 oz. This is considered a fantastic, versatile mid-weight fabric. It's heavy enough to be durable but light enough to break in relatively quickly without being overly stiff.

 • Width: 30 to 31 inches. Shuttle loom fabrics are notoriously narrow compared to modern projectile looms, which is why selvedge garments require more yardage to produce.

 • Finish: Pre-Shrunk" (Sanforized)

Fabric is sold by the yard in continuous yards.
